In the weeks after George Floyd’s
murder, we witnessed and participated in
discussions about racism that felt both
invalidating and toxic. Below is an anonymous
survey for the Black community to poll
their challenges when discussing race.
Black Safe Spaces promotes healing for Black men and women by advocating for our right to exist, feel and express ourselves without punishment.
We seek to expose the silence that cloaks racism and oppressive systems. We amplify conversations and encourage our society-at-large to break through discomfort and alienation when discussing unbalanced privilege in our country.
We define an Authentic Ally as someone who is actively increasing their awareness while taking personal responsibility to help foster a nation that is not only diverse and inclusive, but SAFE for Black people.
We will not be silent until we achieve true equity for all.
